Letter from our Artistic Director

Dear Friends,
In 2004, Several community minded people got together and talked about the need for a youth theater in Frisco and formed The Frisco Area Children’s Theater. The Frisco Area Children’s Theater is an organization that provides kids with a safe place to be successful as actors, students and individuals. At F.A.C.T. we respect children as artists, students and theatergoers. We provide them with productions that they can be proud to participate in. We provide them with the tools to improve their confidence and self esteem and teach them teamwork in a creative setting. We have a caring staff of teaching artists that understand Children’s need to be creative. I’d like to thank our audience, our students, our actors, our donors, our teachers, our volunteers and our Board for helping to create a theater that has such a lasting effect on the children of this city and beyond.
In our efforts to offer more benefits for children, F.A.C.T. has created The FACT Actors Guild. Members of the Guild will have more creative opportunities to participate in. They will have a chance to be on the Junior Board, write for our newsletter and pick the shows we produce.
Also, coming very soon will be our Actors Awards for 2004-2005. You will have the chance to vote and pick the Best Actors of our past two years.
As you peruse our website you will see F.A.C.T. ‘S different programs. We offer winter, spring and fall semesters of classes for all ages. We offer special workshops throughout the year and summer camps. We offer a full season of shows for children to participate in or come watch.
I became involved in theater over 35 years ago when I was very young, and it has made such a positive impact in my life that I believe all children should have the chance to express themselves creatively. I enjoy seeing the beaming smiles on the faces of the children onstage as they receive the applause they deserve after a good show. I look forward to F.A.C.T.’S New Season of creating memories, happy moments and great family theater.
